Love these recommendations! I also read Ted Chiang's short story collection this year and was blown away. Now I'm on a short story kick and I can't stop. Also, A Good Country sounds fascinating -- planning to read it ASAP!
There are so many! I'm currently enjoying Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, which is a much more light and comedic collection than some of the other ones I read this year. (I loved Sour Heart by Jenny Zhang, but definitely super heavy!)
Thank you for sharing your reading list. I always love learning about what everyone reads. I have had Never Let me go on my shelf for a while now and have watched the movie but it feels very heavy to me 😭 Do you experience that?
I've not watched the movie yet, and I'm slightly afraid to since I know it's going to be heavy and sad. I think I'll reserve it for a particular day when the mood the right ;)
Wow, you read a lot of books. My best record was 30+ books in 2021. Most of my readings are on leadership, self-development, psychology and autobiography, but not a single fiction book... sad! Keep going Yuezhong.
Thank you, Winston. I try a combination of physical, electronic and audio books, which seems to be effective in getting me to read more. Also, 30+ is a lot of books already and any kind of reading is reading and is valuable!
Thank you for sharing!! I am about to start reading the school for good mothers! It’s been on my list for two months and I am so excited to have gotten a copy from the library.

I think I will read just about anything that Ted Chiang writes from this point! What are some of the short story collections that you liked?

Waaaawww! You've done well. I'm so proud of you. I'll bookmark this list to add some of these books on my TBR list for 2023.
Thank you! I enjoy reading your book reviews and reading updates too! Happy new year and happy reading!

Love all these readings recommendations. Somehow I am gravitating towards Ted Chiang’s too. Going to look up his books
Thank you! Let me know how you like his books if you end up reading them this year ;)
