The gentle and tender voices of radio hosts and the dreamy references to the sky is truly evocative. I can relate because that was how I spent my younger years listening to those late-night voices, they brought me a sense of comfort. Thank you for sharing and may the sounds of the night always bring you comfort.

I love Chinese radio stations, it's very calming and relaxing, a great way to unwind a tiring body, also tiring mind and heart. Though i don't understand what they say, I like listening to them especially when they talk about life. Great post!

I live the history of how you listened to stories and what you listened to. I too fall asleep to stories or in some cases sounds on the nights my Brian needs less distraction. Often I can listen to the same thing for two or three nights, because I never get to the end.

A great hymn to the power of radio! At university, listening to late-evening radio used to be part of my routine. I'd even listen to the shipping forecast, which also attracted the attention of poets: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/3zW5TLdY6q1K17bBjKmwnZG/the-peoples-shipping-forecast
