First congratulations! 🎈 Second, you characterized Chinese parents well 😂 Are they preparing to move in with you? Third, being a parent is more scary before than doing it is. Let Nature guide you. 🙏
Congratulations! That is such wonderful and exciting news. I do remember that when I first learned I was pregnant, even though it was something I’d dreamed of for many years prior, there were moments when I was terrified and wished I could stop the whole thing. Apparently that is normal, people just don’t talk about it. The learning curve is sharp, but if you’re reading up already there won’t be too much to throw you.
Sorry, I got called away so I hit send early. The other advice I will give is this: trust your gut. If the expert says you’re just being anxious, but your mother heart is telling you something is off, find a better professional. I look forward to more updates as they come. Oh - and if at all possible, the sooner you connect with La Leche League, the more likely you are to be successful with however much breastfeeding you are able to do around your work. They have an extensive library, as well as support groups. You might be surprised how well it can work - our bodies adjust to make milk when needed. I’ll jump off my soapbox, but this is one of my passions because the health advantages to a breastfed baby can extend well into the future - healthier hearts at age 50 with the research I was reading 30 years ago.
congratulations!! 🥰
Thank you, Aastha!
